olympic training center

The campus of the Southern California Warm Weather Olympic Training Facility is approximately 150 acres with a total buildout of over 25 structures. The Athlete Center is a building complex situated adjacent to the campus' athlete's entrance, and Athlete Housing. This facility functions as a central meeting area and dining hall for both visitors and the anticipated 1600 athletes that will be housed there.

Within the Athlete Center is a large commercial kitchen and survery, large dining hall overlooking the athletic fields, extensive conferencing facilities designed for adaptability to user requirements, security and translation facilities for international competitors.

The project was designed by S.O.M. in Washington D.C., but design development and construction documents were provided by Tucker Sadler & Associates. As Co-Project Architect on the OTC project team Mark Silva provided a substantial part of the coordination, design development and construction documents of these building complexes.
